Unique design
Chemex is considered one of the best modern creations in design.
1.
The French Press consists of a cylindrical jug, made of Pyrex glass or other heat-resistant material, and a lid fitted with a plunger that ends in a strainer.
2.
Insert the paper filter inside the Chemex, on top.
3.
Heat the water to a temperature of 92° to 96°C.
4.
Wet the filter with hot water to remove the paper taste and make the filter adhere to the filter holder.
5.
Eliminate the water, percolated in step 4.
6.
Grind coffee to a medium-fine particle size (Moka coffee will also do).
7.
Pour ground coffee into the filter.
8.
Slowly pour the hot water over the coffee and wait for it to percolate to the bottom of the Chemex.
9.
Continue to pour the water in rotary motions and let it seep through the coffee.
10.
Remove the filter with the spent coffee from the Chemex.
11.
Stir the coffee with a rotating motion of the Chemex.
12.
Serve coffee. Coffee extracted with the Chemex is enjoyed in the cappuccino cup or mug.
