Coffee Preparation Guide with Pour-Over V60 - Master the Perfect Brew
The method for enhancing every aroma
1.
The Pour Over (pour from the top) V60 method uses three simple stuments: a filter holder made of ceramic, glass, or other materials; a paper filter; and a heat-resistant glass pot. The name comes simply from the size of the angle of the portafilter, precisely 60°, which allows perfect percolation of the coffee.
2.
Heat the water (330 ml approx.) to a temperature between 92°C - 96°C.
3.
Place filter holder and filter on the percolation jug.
4.
Wet the filter with warm water to remove the paper taste and make the filter adhere to the filter holder. Remember to remove percolated water.
5.
Grind coffee to a medium grain size (about the same as grains of sugar).
6.
Tare the scale.
7.
Pour ground coffee into the filter, about 30 g.
8.
Make the pre-infusion by evenly wetting-using circular motions-the coffee bed with 60 ml of hot water. Wait about 30 seconds for all the water to percolate.
9.
Pour the remaining amount of water in circular motions. The water will seep to the pot below in about 2 to 3 minutes.
10.
Stir the drink for a few seconds with a slow, circular motion of the pot.
11.
Serve the coffee.
