Is the delicacy of the coffee coming from the moka pot and its preparation ritual your favourite? You are in good company, in fact, more than 70% of Italians prefer to have this pot at home more than other extraction methods. This coffee maker owes its name to Mokha, a Yemen town, one of the first and most famous areas where the Arabica grows. It was invented in 1933 by Alfonso Bialetti and consists of three parts: a kettle, a funnel-shaped filter and a collector.

Little tips for a perfect coffee made with the Moka
1
Moka is composed of three parts: a cylinder (bottom chamber), a filter funnel and a coffee collector (top chamber).
2
Heat water around 70°C degrees.
3
Fill the cylinder with hot water to reduce the time on the stove.
4
Fill the cylinder until the valve is reached.
5
Grind the coffee to about 400 micron.
6
Fill the filter with ground coffee and level it to make it even.
7
Insert the filter in the cylinder and tighten the head of the moka around.
8
Place your moka on the stove, low heat, with the lid open.
9
Turn off the heat right after the stream of coffee comes out, turns in lighter shades of color and the classical muttering sound starts.
10
Don't forget to stir the coffee.
11
The coffee is ready to be served.
