Known to the general public for being one of the judges of Bake-off Italia since 2022, Tommaso Foglia was born in Nola (Na) in 1990 and owes his great passion for leavened products to his childhood spent in the family bakery. Still under the age of 18, in 2007, he moved to Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi be part of the famous Don Alfonso 1890, 2 Michelin stars; then he moved to Ristorante Baby in Rome and to Le Sirenuse in Positano, where he deals with the pastry shop. In 2011 he returned to Sant'Agata Sui Due Golfi as a pastry chef at Maison Iaccarino. From there he travelled to: first La Mamounia Palace Hotel in Marrakech, then the Arab Emirates for the opening of Don Alfonso Dubai, Wiltshire at the Whatley Manor, in Ireland at the Patrick Guillbaud, two Michelin stars. Back in Italy, in 2017, and precisely at the I Portici Ristorante, a Michelin star. In 2018, he moved to Lavello, at San Barbato Resort in Lavello, where he is the Executive Pastry Chef. Many are the awards and mentions earned thanks to his talent: Emerging Pastry Chef 2020 under 30, then Master of the Accademia Maestri Pasticceri Italiani (Italian Academy of Master Pastry Chefs), first place at the 1st Trophée International du Café Gourmande (12 November 2021) and Pastry Chef of the year for the Gambero Rosso Pastry Guide 2022.
